More than 100 miles of sidewalks and 19 miles of bike paths traverse MSU’s campus where Spartans forge their own paths and connect with each other. Relax and reflect on your commemorative bench placed within our scenic university setting.
There are twenty different styles of benches to select from. You can choose to adopt an existing bench or install a new bench: adopted benches will be revitalized and replaced in their current location. Adopting a bench helps to maintain and enhance MSU’s existing infrastructure.
Zones and Pricing
There are three location zones on campus as shown by the map below. Pricing is determined by the zone you select. Zone 1 is shown in the green areas around institutional landmarks. North campus above circle drive is zone 2, the yellow area. Campus locations south of circle drive are zone 3. Beal Gardens is a unique location, and those requests are handled through the Beal Gardens staff.
Bench pricing will depend on the location zone and type of bench with prices ranging from $8k - $12K.
Process
The process is simple and interactive; you’ll be involved in the following steps. Because this purchase is significant to you, we want to work together to ensure success.
- Select a location area on campus from the map.
- Select a type of bench: existing or a new bench to be purchased and installed.
- Complete the form to provide details of the request and make a deposit.
- The request will be reviewed and you’ll be contacted to discuss the details and finalize the purchase.
- Once work is completed you’ll be contacted with ceremony details for a new bench or with photos of the bench and plaque. You’ll receive a map of your bench, a photo, a copy of the plaque, a certificate of authenticity with each bench purchase.
