Benches

Broad Art Museum Bench

IMG_3344

More than 100 miles of sidewalks and 19 miles of bike paths traverse MSU’s campus where Spartans forge their own paths and connect with each other. Relax and reflect on your commemorative bench placed within our scenic university setting.

We offer standard commemorative benches on campus. Depending on the location, either metal or wood benches are used, rather than a wide variety of styles and materials. You can choose to adopt an existing bench or install a new bench: adopted benches will be revitalized and replaced in their current location. Adopting a bench helps to maintain and enhance MSU’s existing infrastructure.

Tiers and Pricing

There are four location tiers on campus as shown by the map below. Pricing is determined by the tier you select. Tier 1 is shown in the green areas around institutional landmarks on north campus. Central campus below Shaw Lane is tier 2, the blue area. Campus locations south of Service Road are Tier 3, shown in orange. Elite locations, (Beaumont Tower, Spartan Statue, Benefactors Plaza, Adams Field and Sand Hill Plantation) depicted in red. All locations will need to be reviewed by our Landscape Architect for the possibility of a new bench placement, as some locations are adopt only. Beal Gardens is a unique location, and those requests are handled through the Beal Gardens staff.

Bench pricing will depend on the location tier and adopted versus new installation.

  • Elite Tier is $15,000
  • Tier 1 is $12,000
  • Tier 2 is $11,000
  • Tier 3 is $10,000
